I've been djing couple of years now, and w/ the cdj-1000mk3, everything it's so precise, sound is crystal clear, they're a perfect machines...
This deck is invincible; it will always work, no matter how hard it's used or abused. That's why its showing up in clubs everywhere. BUT, in terms of useability, its got some flaws for live use. I use hot starts a lot, and find it cumbersome to have to switch to record mode to update the start points, then back to play mode to preview them. This needs to be quicker. Other functions are similarly buried in modes too; Vinyl and CDJ mode both have important uses, but on this deck I need to double check which mode I'm in to see what effect the platter will have. Everything works, and it works well (which is more than I can say about a lot of other CD decks) but it's not intuitive.
A very good reason that every major DJ here and abroad spins on Pioneer CDJ's????
They work perfectly in the right hands!
my only con is that the bpm doesnt always show on everysong. or it will show an incorrect bpm.
I first got the new technics dz1200 and it was garbage, then I got a cdj800, it was better then the technics digital deck, I still was not happy.
then I sold them both and got the cdj1000 mk3..
a dream come true...if you have been mixing records for years and you need to make the switch to cd players (you need to cause most clubs have the cdj 1000's)..you will need to get the cdj 1000 mk3...it simply kicks butt, it is pretty easy to use and is easy to get adjusted on..this gem saves you a ton of time on quing, and beat matching..put those old 1200's away, and invest your cash on the 1000 mk3..trust me you will freak out when you make the switch, you will be killing it after a few hours..and will never go back to records unless you wanna play the old stuff...I have been djing for 17 years in clubs, mixing house music, and these cdj 1000's are what you will see in every club in the future
go buy them, they are great and you will love them and wish you had bought them years ago
unfortuneatle this cd deck is just more of the same , its a good cd player , but def not the best , it really is not a improvement quality wise over the last 2 generations, it just looks nicer, if you really want a pionner cd player, get the silver 800, its cheaper and pretty much is the same thing
This product surpassed every expectation I ever had from any other product on the market today. I've been a disc jockey for over twenty years, and the vinyl feel is great. What I like is the fact that I can jam pack a bunch of tracks on one mp3 for emergency back up, and the ability to use Serato, discs on it.
